Guests and locals will enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and a taste of history with an original Palmer House Brownie, which was invented at the hotel in 1893.
The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 11:00am on Friday, November 22, 2024.

In honor of National Brownie Day on December 8th, the Palmer House invites you to indulge in a blow-out, celebratory weekend of new and extravagant Brownie offerings and experiences.
Guests will be welcomed with an enchanting, themed digital welcome letter that will take you on a journey through the history of the confection and introducing the legacy of the Palmer House Brownie. While immersing in this sweet history, enjoy a bite of complimentary Palmer House Brownie Bites and receive an invitation to exclusive Brownie-themed indulgences fit for all ages.
Throughout the weekend, a dedicated Brownie Indulgence Menu will be available. Sweet tooth breakfast aficionados can begin their ‘sugar high’ early with the signature Bertha’s Brownie Pancakes at the onsite Lockwood Restaurant. Patrons will also find an array of specialty delicacies, including Brownie Cheesecake, Brownie Brittle, and Brownie Lattés, in addition to the Original Palmer House Brownie. Later, adults can enjoy the bespoke Brownie Old-Fashioned, a liquefied version of the Palmer House Brownie infused with premium liquors and accoutrements.
This special Brownie Indulgence Menu will be available all day at Lockwood Restaurant and Lobby from December 6-8th.
Tuba Christmas
Celebrate the festive spirit with the melodious tunes of the holiday season, as approximately 400 tuba players from across the globe perform timeless Christmas melodies in the exquisite Grand and State Ballroom. This cost-free gathering occurs in mid-December and serves as a enchanting homage to the delight and harmonies of the season.
